We are honored!
We are honored to be part of your journey to raise confident, kind and compassionate children.
I am not a parent, nor am I a teacher. I am however, someone who has had plenty of human moments. Moments when I feel weak when I want to be strong, moments when self-doubt halts progress, moments when I have trouble finding compassion, moments when I judge too quickly, and moments when insecurity steals my joy.
If you are an adult whose life is littered with these types of human moments, I hope these books also bring you relatable ways to stay centered and grounded.
If a single individual finds their strength in these pages, its creation will have been worth every moment.
Sincerely thank you,
About the Author
Leah Young is the author of the Know series, a collection of illustrated children’s books that transform life lessons into memorable experiences children can see, feel, and remember.
For the past two decades, Leah has worked with teams to tackle challenges in business that don't have easy answers. She has learned that reframing problems is often the first step toward breakthrough innovation.
That same philosophy now shapes her approach to storytelling. Leah believes that a new perspective can unlock deeper understanding, and that stories can help children discover important life lessons in ways that feel meaningful and memorable. A strong believer that nature is one of our greatest teachers, she draws inspiration from the principles of biomimicry—the practice of learning from nature to solve human challenges. Each book in the Know series features an animal teacher at its heart, inviting children to discover life's lessons through curiosity, experience, and the wisdom of the natural world.
When she isn't writing, Leah can usually be found by the ocean—snorkeling, watching for sea turtles, surfing, relaxing in a hammock, or walking her dogs.
